The Company
XC Networks is comprised primarily of the profitable assets of the company formerly known as Corban Communications in the United States and BorderCOMM in Mexico.
The management team that acquired these assets have over 50 years of international telecommunications experience. The core company that is now operating under XC Networks was started in 1986 in El Paso, TX as a provider of cross border connectivity into Mexico.
In 1998, the Mexican government issued concessions to 14 major telecommunication providers with XC Networks’ sister company XC Networks S.A. de C.V being a holder of the 20 year concession. XC Networks holds spectra concessions in the 23 GHz and 10.5 spectra bands and is currently one of the largest holders of spectra in Mexico.
In 2001, a group of investors out of Dallas, TX acquired the assets of BorderCOMM. The BorderCOMM management developed a business plan to build the company into a world class niche communication service provider.
In 2004, BorderCOMM acquired the assets of Sersa Geocomm based out of El Paso, TX. The healthy mix of enterprise and carrier clients boosted BorderCOMM’s presence in the Juarez-El Paso market
In 2005, BorderCOMM successfully acquired the spectrum concessions of Protel S.A. de C.V. This allowed BorderCOMM to rapidly deploy services in underdeveloped markets.
In 2006, BorderCOMM expanded operations in the United States by acquiring the profitable assets of Corban Communications in Dallas, TX. This acquistion expanded the company footprint in the North America to a total of 33 POPs and 2 Full service network command centers.
